Thomas is an experienced health professional with education spanning many areas of health and fitness with a Diploma of Massage Therapy, Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sports Science), and Master of Physiotherapy(USYD).
He prides himself on ‘thinking outside the box’ with the ideals of the body working as a whole rather than separate areas. Using manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation to better improve a client's condition, Thomas aims to make the treatment process as stress-free as possible. He specialises in dry needling and acupuncture for pain management, blood flow restriction training for rehabilitation, inspiratory muscle training for breathing conditions and sports performance, respiratory physiology education, and exercise rehabilitation for strength sports athletes.
Thomas spent many years training and competing in sports such as swimming and powerlifting, qualifying for many national and international-level competitions. Outside of the clinic, he spends much of his spare time training in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting, walking his dogs, going for hikes, and fishing.
Physiotherapy is a powerful tool that can help to improve the quality of life of those who suffer from physical impairments or illnesses.
Through physiotherapy, individuals can learn to perform exercises that will help to build strength and improve range of motion, coordination, and balance. Additionally, physiotherapy can help those in pain to manage it more effectively, leading to improved comfort and mobility.
Physiotherapy can also help with posture correction and breathing exercises, which can help to reduce stress and improve overall well-being.
Finally, physiotherapy can help to provide support and guidance to help patients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Cupping therapy, also known as 'hijama', can be beneficial for improving blood circulation.
