HOW IS MOTUS DIFFERENT FROM EVERYONE ELSE?

Our team boasts a range of qualifications and expertise in Chiropractic and Massage Therapy. Each practitioner combines these skills with a unique adoption of the Motus techniques and principles, which are learned in initial training, and then continually built upon and maintained.
As part of our journey and aspiration to be pioneers in our shared health space, the team is constantly seeking educational pathways to broaden the scope of their practice and knowledge, which is then brought to you via the MOTUS experience.
ARE MOTUS SESSIONS PAINFUL?
Clients can sometimes feel minor discomfort post treatment but they often describe it as a “good pain”. If you do experience any unpleasant pain in or after your session, just let your Motus practitioner know and they can change things accordingly. Know that our common goal is always getting you walking out feeling better than how you walked in – Let us take care of the journey.
CAN/DO YOU TREAT…?
Yes! Collectively, we have treated thousands of clients and have experienced many different variations of conditions related to the neuro-muscular-skeletal systems.
We provide care for shoulders, ankles, knees, hips, elbows, wrists and spinal related injuries. In addition to this, we also address your performance based concerns.

HOW LONG IS A MOTUS SESSION?
As a guideline, we allow 1 hour for your Initial Assessment and Treatment, and 30 minutes for any Follow Up Sessions. If we feel like you need a little more TLC than our standard time, we offer 45 and 60 minute sessions too. We’re here for tomorrow’s you and are prepared to do what’s required to see you through.
WILL I GET TREATED DURING MY INITIAL ASSESSMENT?
Of course! Our initial sessions always start with a thorough history and assessment to seek out the root cause of your condition or complaint. We will openly discuss what is going on, how we are going to tackle it together and how long it will take to reach your goals. From here we start your treatment. We are constantly testing and retesting throughout your entire session to make sure we continue on the right path together.
HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT PRACTITIONER?
All our Motus Practitioners have gone through rigorous training beyond their tertiary education. Because of this, we can effectively solve and help a vast variety of unique challenges that our clients present with, day in and day out. The team at Motus are life-long learners and teachers, and we love sharing our knowledge with one another. What we’re saying is, you can’t go wrong with anyone from our team. Just choose a Motus practitioner based on the time that works best for you!
DO I NEED A DOCTOR TO REFER ME TO MOTUS?
Clients do not need a referral from a GP to be treated by any of our MOTUS practitioners. Our doors are open to everyone.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We understand that life gets in the way sometimes. If you need to cancel your session and do so before 24 hours of the scheduled time, we won’t hit you with any unwanted fees or charges. However, it is important to remember that a missed session is time and care that could have been given to another person in need. As such:
Cancellations made within 24hrs of the scheduled session time will result in a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 12hrs or non-attendance of the scheduled session time will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
*Don’t leave us hanging! We can’t wait to see you! Our Practitioners want to be available for your needs and the needs of all our Clients. This allows us an opportunity to offer the session to other clients from our waiting list. *Motor Accident Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance does not generally cover charges for non-attendance. These charges will need to be met by the client.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE/FEEL IMPROVEMENTS?
Each and every client is unique and for that your Motus practitioner will be able to give you a detailed timeframe within your initial session. However, generally speaking, here are some rough timeframes that we find stay relatively true:
3-6 Sessions for your minor movement dysfunctions and non-chronic conditions
8-12 Sessions for your major movement dysfunctions and more chronic conditions
16 or more Session for more severe and long-standing chronic conditions
Again, these are ballpark figures and your case could vary significantly to the next, but most commonly you will leave feeling improvements after your very first session! The Motus practitioners will work closely with you to design a personalised plan that’s tailored to your needs, taking out the guesswork, and getting you back to what you love.
HOW CAN MOTUS HELP ME IF I’M NOT IN ANY PAIN?
When we talk about being here for tomorrow’s you, we mean it. If you’re not in any pain, but feel as though you want to boost your performance or even come in for a check up, we are here for it. If we take the time on a monthly basis to address your muscular tension, improve your movement patterns and address lifestyle factors, we can ensure that we’re dealing intelligently with tweaks and aches before they become a major problem.
Whether you’re someone who has a sedentary or physically demanding job, it is quite likely that your body is not moving the way it was uniquely intended to – and we don’t think you should wait for it to start giving you ‘signals’ before doing something about it. We can look at your current behaviour patterns, and look for areas of improvement or strength that may need work.
Alternatively, you might consider yourself as highly active and seeking to hit peak performance. We can help you set that bar even higher, and fine tune already good habits and behavioral patterns. You can feel better, move faster and live a longer pain-free life if you take care of yourself today.
HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?
Please check out our online booking as all appropriate pricing is located there. Pricing depends on the type and time of booking you are after.
CAN I CLAIM PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE ON SITE?
Yes! Don’t forget to bring your physical private health insurance card in when you’re visiting so that we can process it right after the session, on site, leaving you with only the gap to cover.
HOW MUCH WILL MY PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE COVER?
Policies vary from insurer to insurer and are dependent on the level of coverage you have selected. You will need to read your product disclosure statement (PDS) or contact your insurer, as we, a service provider, are not privy to this information.
WILL YOU LET ME KNOW WHEN I RUN OUT OF MY PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS?
As above, this is a question for the insurer. The only information we are privy to is how much coverage is approved for that session. Be sure to check this out before the session if you are expecting cover.
CAN I GET X-RAYS TAKEN AT A MOTUS CLINIC?
We don’t currently take any imaging at Motus, however our practitioners are more than happy to write a referral for any imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT, Ultrasounds) if needed.
DO YOU WELCOME WORKCOVER INJURIES OR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT CASES (MVA)?
Yes we do!
